They looked for original English-speaking countries dessert recipes, they learnt ingredients and measures, they followed the recipe and cooked the dessert. They also showed videos to the class explaining the process.
Finally, all students enjoyed tasting all the desserts in the classroom: cookies, muffins, cakes, pies... Yummy!
